# wUTHER tokens

wUTHER Tokens: wUTHER is an in-world exchange token within the Utherverse platform. It operates on an internal ledger and can transact without touching the blockchain. The utility of wUTHER tokens includes:

* In-world transactions: Users can use wUTHER tokens for frictionless transactions within the Utherverse platform. It enables safe, fast, and free transactions for virtual goods and fNFTs within the platform.
* All wUTHER transactions take place within the Utherverse platform, and it is only when wUTHER needs to be moved to an externally usable wallet that it would be converted to $UTHX at a 1:1 ratio.
